Editing a school timetable during the school year is very important:

This may be due to students left the school and a class needs to be collapsed and needs to be taken off the timetable.
A teacher has left the school and a replacement teacher must be timetabled.
A timeslot needs to be swapped with another timeslot because a teacher can’t teach at certain times.
Days need to be swapped. Long weekends often eliminate Mondays and teachers complain of losing too many lessons. So a day swap might be needed to enable teachers to complete their courses without undue pressure.
